“Someone says No“ - a Cattleya production, distributed by Universal Pictures, will hit the screens later this summer. It was BootB the crowdsourcing platform chosen by Universal to find innovative ideas for the pre-launch promotion of the movie. Creative input was required for an inspired title (the one previously mentioned is just provisory) and an eye-catching poster, so two Pitches were open on BootB for this exact purpose.
The artwork competition has generated 102 responses and the decision over the winner was not an easy choice – there were 6 super Solutions on the highly disputed shortlist. However, one - submitted by Kuva, stood above all in the eyes of Universal. It looks like the challengers were precious works as well since only 2 out of the 5 Creators decided to share their Solutions with all of us :)
Now let’s see … what the promotional poster - soon available in cinemas, printed materials and online, will look like and what it could have looked like.
Guilty as charged - the 3 characters have made life impossible for those climbing up the ladder or earning their jobs thanks to a key recommendation from an upper management level. This is Kuva’s take on the matter and it looks like Universal has shared his vision.
A doctor, a lawyer and a clerk team up to fight against those who took their jobs because they were supported by influential people. Very nice illustrations Giubba!
Diegobana’s proposal tells a revenge tale - so extreme and absurd that it becomes funny. Very interesting approach!
Last thing, before jumping to comments - currently Universal has its third pitch open. We could say the third time’s charm since the budget is quite appealing and the brief is very exciting: guerrilla initiative for Dreamwork’s latest 3D animated cartoon “Megamind”. Rediscover the child in you and the Solution to this pitch will come on its own!
