Kalo TV campaign: Ladies and gentlemen the winner is…

Today we’d like to share with you the story of Alexxa. Her Solution was chosen by Roeder as the best one for their “TV campaign for Kalo” Pitch but that’s not the end of the story yet. In fact, what is peculiar in Alexxa, is that, being a model, she proposed to also be the heroine of the commercial herself.

About the process, she commented:

As a young woman I understood the proposition of Kalo. I study economy but I am also a model and the problem of overweight is unfortunately common in the world of fashion. So, I teamed up with my brother we decided to participate to the Pitch and ideas popped up immediately.

We first brainstormed on the Brief, thought about several creative directions and then decided to go with them. We had so much fun writing two scenarios and, finally, they became storyboards.

I believe that inspiration comes from everything you see, hear and feel (including a critic from a friend) during our everyday life. The richer of experiences is your life, the more possibility you have to create outstanding works. I would say that in my case a multi-tasking life –studying, working, travelling, etc.- increased the chances of thinking out of the box and unexpectedly to win.

A huge thanks to Roeder that selected my idea and to BootB that gave me this chance!

Now it’s time to have a look at the Solution itself. Aren’t you curious? :)
Here are two storyboards that were the heart of Alexxa’s Solution:

And it’s still not the end!

Roeder was very positive about their Pitch on BootB and thanks every Creator who participated and hey wrote a testimonial that you can find it on “Testimonials” page.

But what’s more important is that they are already thinking about new projects for the BootB Creators… :)))

I published exactly the same solution for Kalo. I mean, that my concept is absolutely identical with winner’s one. For my opinion, my story contains even more interesting characters. I am curios, why did you chose this solution?

C’mon sitnickoff…
Why it was preferred Alexxa??? I guess it is clear from her pic! ;)))

BTW, why don’t you show your storyboard? Give a url; it would be cool for all creatives to compare the 2 approaches

To Zombi:
Indeed, I might not be an excellent drawer, but I do believe that it is not crucial for the final commercial featuring live action

Here is the link to my storyboard

I understand that Alexxa, being younger, prettier and smarter than you all…makes you guys jealous…but please move on, these comments only make you as haters.
I don’t speak russian and wasn’t able to see your fantastic and underestimated storyboard, sitnickoff…but don’t worry.Be happy.

Dear Zombi, what exactly did you not understand? Just compare the pictures, they are really similar ))))

Dear Marcoeco, I am not jealous. I simply do not understand the difference between my storyboard and that of Alexxa. They both feature the same restaurant, same 3 girlfriends, same dining procedure, same close-up shots, same Packshot. By the way, my storyboard is in Enlglish. I do not speak Italian and, maybe, there are specific selling phrases there. But visually our storyboards are really simillar. That is why I am asking. No hate.

I am not trying to question the decision, but simply trying to understand what was the selection criteria. I need this to improve my performance in future. )

I don’t speak russian so I don’t know where to click to see your storyboard. In anycase, I think that one of the best features of Alexxa’s solution (for the first scenario) are the frames divided in half for the demo. That’s very effective!
Again, Big Congrats Alexxa!

Ok sitnickoff, I saw it and I really don’t like it. Sorry, but there’s no comparaison with Alexxa’s solutions. Of course that’s just my opinion.
